Tim Myers Blackjack Skills Land Him Million Dollar Streak

This Tim Myers blackjack guy is a gambling content creator from Taranaki, New Zealand who is currently based in Canada. Back home, Myers was a dairy farmer but loved to gamble. He grew up in a family where horse racing was a common game, and it was normal for him to bet on it. Later, Tim progressed to other games like slots, roulette, blackjack, etc.

By the way, you can check out how to play all these games, and many more, at our casino guide section.

Tim played mostly at online casinos in New Zealand since they are widespread there. This is how Tim started playing blackjack online. He passively streamed his gambling content on a YouTube channel he had, called Tim Naki, and on other social media accounts. The content was mostly horse racing, slots, and roulette. But then he began gaining visibility with his blackjack adventures.

At some point, Myers moved to Calgary, Canada. He had previously sold his cows and livestock and leased out his farm.

Origin of the Tim Myers Blackjack Challenge

In December 2023, Chewy Thompson, an American, challenged himself to walk one inch daily for each new follower he got on his Instagram account. He posted it, and it went viral, skyrocketing his followers.

Inspired by this challenge, Tim Myers thought of creating something similar but unique. Since he is passionate about gambling, he thought of doing that same thing, but with blackjack, on his Instagram account called Tim.Naki. And, thus, the idea for the Tim Myers Blackjack Challenge was born.

On February 1, 2024, Myers announced and started the challenge with 15,000 followers on his account. Everyone wondered what the blackjack psychology behind this was all about.

Tim Myers Blackjack Streak: The Road to a Million

The Tim Naki blackjack marathon began with $1500 for 15000 followers. On the 1st day, he played against a live dealer on an online gambling platform. He gained over 100 followers per day for the first three days, winning every hand he played. Then came the 4th day. His follower count increased by 2000. And on the fifth day, he had 4000 more followers.

For the first ten days, he won 7 hands out of 10. Who could have thought such a feat was possible with blackjack, where the house almost always wins? However, the tension started building up even more as the Tim Myers Blackjack Challenge continued. The game became more interesting with the intermittent “soft insult” he threw at the online dealers, who didn’t know what was going on.

After a few days, the videos went viral, getting him more followers globally. On the 50th day, his follower count already exceeded 320,000, meaning he would bet over $32,000 in one hand. This time, he raked in $128,000.

By the 74th day, he had 810,000 followers viewing him. Tim Naki migrated from the online platform to a live casino in Las Vegas for his next game. There, he put on a more energetic show, playing three hands simultaneously and placing over $81,000 in bets.

On the 80th day, he won an additional $270,000, which made the possibility of hitting $1 million more realistic. And then came the million-dollar hand. On the 83rd day, May 3, 2024, he had 1.1 million followers. For his final game, he won $230,000 to hit over $1 million in total profit.

The goal had been achieved, and it was over. Think that was it? Wrong. It wasn’t over for the Tim Myers Blackjack Challenge.

Tim Myers Blackjack Streak Stops Short: The Half-Million-Dollar Loss

After the Tim Naki net worth increased by the million dollar mark on the 83rd day of playing blackjack, he promised to return the next day, hoping for his biggest blackjack win.

But things took a different turn this time.

Myers started losing over $100,000 per day. On day 90, he lost half of his profit and was now left with $500,000 in profit. Tim Myers decided to end his challenge, walking away with half a million dollars and 1.3 million Instagram followers. Regardless of the loss, it was, indeed, a successful challenge, albeit not a million dollar hand.

Subsequent Benefits of the Tim Myers Blackjack Challenge

In addition to his monetary win and follower count, the Tim Myers Blackjack Challenge got him other benefits, including recognition and partnership deals.

He got one partnership deal on Facebook with the Degeneration Nation group, which came with monetary benefits for Myers. Several business brands also called to partner up with him. In one of his partnerships, he even represented Racing South Australia as an International Form Analyst.
