The 2023 WSOP live series, even though it has ended, sure started with a bang. This year marked the 54th existence of the live series and was one of the most extensive series in WSOP history, and also one of the most exciting, for lovers of all types of poker games.
In 2022, this series reached new heights. However, 2023 had its grand plans, surpassing the previous year’s milestones. The series raked in a jaw-dropping $425.2 million from online and live events, a remarkable increase from 2022’s $346.3 million. Participation also skyrocketed, with 250,000 plus players joining the 2023 series, up from the already impressive 198,429 in 2022.
The live series occurred with the WSOP 2023 Schedule starting at The Horseshoe (formerly Bally’s) and Paris Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. It started on May 30 and ended on July 18, 2023. Meanwhile, online poker tournaments, which took place in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, had their slice of the action tournaments from early June to mid-July.
