Daniel Weinman Wins at the WSOP 2023 Final Table

The 2023 WSOP Main Event concluded on a record-breaking afternoon in Las Vegas. Daniel Weinman of Georgia won the $12.1 million prize and bested a record-breaking field of 10,043 competitors.

Weinman won the competition as the first American since John Cynn in 2018. Most people were surprised by how quickly Weinman won the main event, defeating fellow American Steven Jones in a final hand that lasted only nine minutes.

The two players caught a pair on the flop, and Jones moved all in with his Jack-eight after what seemed like an eternity. Weinman saw through his bluff and called with a superior King Jack. It was the deciding factor for the 35-year-old. The final table Weinman won was one of the shortest in recent memory, lasting for only 164 hands.
